Why we called it
Delta Reign streets on Friday 6 November with Mega Rayquaza ex as the chase, and the reason to post it in August is that the money on these sets is made at pre-order, not on release day. No presale market has formed yet. It will build through September, and whoever is holding confirmed pre-orders owns that window.
The case is straightforward and it rests on one fact: no Mega-era sealed English product has traded below retail. Not once. The worst the era has produced is Pitch Black, the most heavily printed set in it, and its Elite Trainer Box still sits at £64.47 across 213 sales. Chaos Rising and the original Mega Evolution both hold around £68. Phantasmal Flames, the one with a genuine era chase, runs £114 on ETBs and £303 on booster boxes.
That gives a floor and a ceiling rather than a guess. Delta Reign's chase outranks Phantasmal Flames on the Japanese market, and Japan is ahead of us here: Storm Emeralda, the source set, opened at four times list and settled around 3.5x a week later. Mega Rayquaza ex has come off ¥298-348k to ¥170-210k and is still the most valuable modern chase card in print.

The takeaway
Posting a November set in August only makes sense if the argument is about timing rather than hype, and it is: boxes vanish at RRP months ahead, and by launch you are paying resale like everyone else. The floor here is unusually well evidenced, which is why it is worth being early.
