Why we called it

The 30th Celebration set is the one every UK retailer had been building toward all year, and the launch ran on 16 September with the route mapped in advance: which chains had allocation, which held till blocks, and which online backends were loading overnight. A brief burst of early stock on the 14th gave two days of warning, and the plan went out with it.

Day one did the rest. Elite Trainer Boxes went on shelves at £49.99 and sold into a market printing £115 to £125. Tins and ex boxes at £20-22 cleared at £40-45. Binders and posters added roughly £35 each. Across the group, the recap put the day one take at £13,138, with ninety-nine ETBs among the haul.

John Lewis and Argos ran the online side while the store routes worked the floor stock, which is the shape these anniversary sets reward: one morning, two lanes, and allocation intel gathered before anyone else was awake.
