Why we called it
Sony released four accessories and a bundle across two designs, and the entire board came down to one finding: on sold-out PlayStation drops, console covers run three to seven times retail while controllers have never beaten 1.53x. Covers are tiny runs sold to collectors. Controllers are consumables Sony can simply make more of.
Ghost of Yotei proved it inside a single drop. Pro covers gone in seconds and now £181-248 with a £229 floor, while Slim covers from the same launch sit at retail. Spider-Man 2 covers went in seconds too and UK asks are now £466-568. Wolverine sits at roughly 55 to 75 percent of Spider-Man 2's heat but one and a half to two times Ghost of Yotei's, and Yotei cleared its Pro covers at forty percent of this heat.
So we published a strict priority order rather than a list: Adamantium Pro covers, then Battle Yellow Pro, then Battle Yellow Slim, then the Adamantium DualSense. Do not start with controllers, skip the bundle. All plates were out of stock by 09:40. Day one solds came in at £135.90 for the Adamantium Pro covers and £135.38 for Battle Yellow, both against £64.99.
The edge
What members knew before everyone else worked it out.
- Adamantium Pro covers £64.99 to £135.90 on day one, Battle Yellow Pro covers £64.99 to £135.38.
- Adamantium DualSense £74.99 to roughly £100 in a £90-125 band, Battle Yellow DualSense £97. Controllers behaved exactly as predicted.
- The thesis in one line: covers on sold-out drops run 3-7x, controllers never beat 1.53x. Yotei and Spider-Man 2 both confirm it.
- Thirty day free returns on PS Direct and a pre-auth rather than a charge, so every unit was a free option.
- Adamantium Pro covers are the only real hold. List some at £150 now, carry the rest to ship week between 15 and 25 September at £150-200.

The takeaway
The useful part of this call was not that Wolverine would sell out, it was knowing which four of the five SKUs to ignore. Sony ran the experiment for us on Ghost of Yotei and Spider-Man 2, and the answer held again.
