Why we called it
Starter decks are One Piece's cheapest sealed format, and ST-29 outran its print run — out of stock across UK and EU hobby sites, trading at £40+ against a £15–16 RRP.
The call wasn't "go buy it" — everywhere was dry. It was "the monitors are live": small staggered restocks were expected across hobby retailers, and the ping would fire the moment one loaded. Members with ACO added price filters and let it hunt.
The edge
What members knew before everyone else worked it out.
- 2.5x on a £15 entry — the most accessible One Piece flip of the winter.
- Restock-monitor play: the alert armed members for windows measured in minutes.
- ACO with price filters turned restocks into automatic buys.
- Part of the One Piece lane that later delivered EB-03 and OP-16.

Staggered restocks
Small drops across hobby sites get pinged; members convert at retail each time.
The takeaway
When a product is sold out everywhere, the trade isn't finding stock — it's being first when stock finds you. That's a monitor's job.
