Why we called it
The Mind 001 had already been cooked several times before this wave, which is what made the call straightforward: a known product, a known price, and Nike's free returns underneath it. Seven colourways dropped across men's and women's on the Tuesday morning at £79.99, and the instruction was simply to secure whatever was available, keep the strong ones and send the rest back.
The follow-up review three days later corrected our own numbers downward where they had been optimistic, and the eBay sold data since backs it up. Triple Black — the colourway that actually dropped in this wave — has a median of £124.58 across 53 completed UK sales clustered between 29 and 31 July, against a £125+ call. Light Smoke Grey ran higher at £139.19, and Black Chrome at £150.08.
The edge
What members knew before everyone else worked it out.
- £79.99 retail against a verified £124–150 median depending on colourway.
- Triple Black median £124.58 across 53 UK sales — the original £125+ call landed almost exactly.
- Light Smoke Grey median £139.19 and Black Chrome £150.08, both from deep sale volume.
- Free Nike returns make it a cop-for-everyone: secure what you can, keep the hot ones, return the rest.
- Seven colourways across men's and women's, so fill rates were high even on a busy SNKRS morning.
How it played out
- 27 Jul
Called the night before
All seven colourways posted with SKUs and individual resale estimates ahead of the 8am drop.
- 28 Jul
Drop morning
Links go out at 7am with sizing guidance, and members are pushed toward the non-black colourways as well.
- 30 Jul
The correction
The review revises Black Chrome and Mineral Slate down from the original estimates while confirming Triple Black came in at or above the call.
The takeaway
The number that matters is the one that survives verification. Triple Black was called at £125+ and printed a £124.58 median across 53 sales — and where the first estimates ran hot, the follow-up said so rather than quietly moving on.
