Why we called it
LEGO Pokémon's launch was the collector event of February — but the alert's entire thesis was one detail buried in the promotion: the free Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) gifted with the £579.99 Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise set was already selling for £136–162 on its own.
That reframed the whole purchase. The big set resold steadily around £630 — a £50–60 margin — while the free GWP added another ~£120 of pure profit on top. The instruction was explicit: only buy while the GWP is live, because that's where the margin actually lives. With LEGO's 90-day returns underneath, the risk never exceeded a trip to the post office.
