Why we called it
Extra Boosters are One Piece's short-print sets — smaller runs, allocation weighted to hobby stores, and almost nothing reaching the high street. EB-03 added the strongest demand profile in the hobby on top: a "Heroines" theme pulling collectors and players simultaneously, with nine SP alternate arts overshadowing the manga chase itself.
The alert landed six days before release with the full structure: £120 RRP, boxes already trading around £300, and a strategy split between the low-risk immediate flip and the case-level hold. At true retail that's roughly £180 profit per box — on a product most people couldn't find shelved anywhere.
The edge
What members knew before everyone else worked it out.
- Short-print Extra Booster format — scarcity built into the print run, not manufactured by hype.
- Roughly 2.5x RRP from release day, with loose packs selling at market in stores.
- Strategy included: sell sealed into the first month's spike; don't hold loose packs.
- The risk ladder was spelled out — retail buys low-risk, 2x-premium buys dangerous.

The breakdown posts
Six days pre-release: print structure, SP chase analysis, £120 retail against a ~£300 market, and the sell-sealed strategy.
- 20 Feb
Release day
Stock evaporates at hobby stores. Boxes trade at £280–300 immediately — roughly £180 per box secured at RRP.
The takeaway
The whole trade was knowing which sets Bandai prints short — and being told before release week, not after. EB-03 was the strongest TCG margin of the spring, and it never touched a supermarket shelf.
