Why we called it
Gears of War has been a fixture of the Xbox brand since 2006, and E-Day is the first mainline entry since 2019. It also became an Xbox exclusive at the last minute, having originally been planned for PlayStation as well — which concentrated demand rather than spreading it.
Unlike several other collector's editions we were tracking, this one includes a physical disc and five days of early access, and it ships across the UK, EU, Switzerland and Norway. eBay sold listings sat comfortably at £450 minimum against a £249.99 retail, and it has restocked frequently enough that the monitors are the play rather than a single launch window.
