A monitor filter is only as good as the brand behind it. Point one at the wrong brand and you get pings that are technically cheap but practically unsellable. These are the brands UK members consistently profit on — with realistic numbers — and the traps that look profitable but are not.
Tier 1: The Reliable Money-Makers
Ralph Lauren (vintage & quarter zips)
The king of Vinted flipping. Quarter zips bought under £15 routinely sell £30–£45; vintage knits and harringtons do better. Endless supply, constant demand, easy to authenticate. If you run one filter, run this one.
Stone Island & CP Company
Terrace-wear premiums make these the highest-margin common finds: badges and lenses authenticate them quickly, and pieces bought at £25–£40 from casual sellers resell £70–£150. Watch EU markets too — Italian supply is deeper and cheaper.
Carhartt WIP & vintage Carhartt
Workwear demand is structural now. Detroit jackets, double-knees and chore coats under £30 move fast at £60–£120 depending on era and fade. German and Dutch Vinted list them densely.
Tier 2: Strong With Knowledge
- Retro Nike & vintage sportswear — windbreakers, vintage tees, TN-era pieces: great margins but dating pieces takes practice.
- The North Face — Nuptse puffers and vintage fleece: winter gold, but learn the fake tells first.
- Barbour — wax jackets bought £20–£40 resell £70–£150; condition (wax, lining, zips) is everything.
- Football shirts — 90s/00s kits are surging; Spanish and Italian Vinted are deep sources. Authentication knowledge essential.
The Traps: Brands That Look Profitable But Are Not
- Fast fashion (Shein, Zara, H&M) — no resale floor, whatever the discount.
- Hyped-then-dead streetwear — yesterday’s logo brands sit unsold; check current sold prices, not memories.
- Heavily faked luxury (LV, Gucci belts/bags) — unless you can authenticate confidently, one fake wipes out ten flips.
- Anything bulky and cheap — coats worth £15 profit cost most of it in postage and hassle.
Turning This List Into Filters
Each Tier 1 brand becomes one tight monitor filter: brand + size range + max price at roughly a third of resale. Our monitor pings in as fast as 0.14 milliseconds when a match lists, and AutoBuy completes checkout in one tap — the sniping guide walks through the full setup, and the community keeps a live view of what is selling this month.
Set these exact filters up in minutes — the monitor, AutoBuy and 50+ brand guides are in one membership.
